DESCRIPTION:Welcome!\nInformation Field Theory (IFT) is an information the
 ory for fields and a probabilistic reasoning framework for continuous qua
 ntities. It is also a mathematical framework for deriving Bayesian image 
 and signal reconstruction methods. IFT is closely related to Gaussian proc
 esses\, generative neural operator networks\, variational inference\, sta
 tistical mechanics and quantum field theory\, and has been shown to produ
 ce highly accurate results.\nThe WE Heraeus Information Field Theory 2026 
 (IFT-2026) conference brings together IFT theoreticians\, practitioners\,
  and interested newcomers to present and discuss their work\, exchange ex
 perience\, foster new collaborations\, and establish new IFT-related resea
 rch directions.\nThe key themes for IFT-2026 are:\n\nMathematical foundati
 ons and insights into IFT\nIFT methods and algorithms\nNumerical Informati
 on Field Theory (NIFTy)\nApplications of IFT\, including astrophysics\, ma
 terials science and medical imaging\nThe relation of IFT to AI methodologi
 es\, such as neural operator networks and diffusion models\nInferring the 
 states and laws governing dynamical systems\nThe relation to other field t
 heories (statistical\, quantum\, topological\, etc.).\n\n \nWe invite you
  to the 1st Conference on Information Field Theory. It will take place fro
 m 23 to 27 November 2026 in Görlitz\, Germany\, and will be hosted by the
  German Center for Astrophysics (DZA).\nThe in-person workshop is by invit
 ation only. \nIn case of high demand\, a virtual component might be added
